Provisions & Co. โ Player Manual
Provisions & Co. (the OC2 Cartographer mod) adds community-made kitchens to Overcooked! 2. Custom kitchens appear on the game's own DLC menu and play like official content: co-op or versus, couch or online, with no extra launcher and no game files replaced. This manual covers everything a player does โ installing, playing, the World Tour, online play, every setting, and what to do when something goes wrong.
Building your own kitchens is covered in two companion pages: the Editor Guide (how to
use the editor) and the Editor Reference (every object, field and setting).
Provisions & Co. is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Team17 or Ghost Town Games. It ships no game assets โ community kitchens are small data files that use the content already installed with your copy of the game.

1. What you get
- A new DLC card โ "Provisions & Co." on the game's Add-ons / DLC carousel, and a matching Provisions & Co. button on the main menu. Both open the custom kitchen browser.
- A kitchen browser with folders, favorites and tags, and a World Tour that strings kitchens together on a bus map like story mode โ for every folder, too.
- A web editor and Studio to build kitchens, dishes, ingredients and machines, publish them, and test them live in your running game.
- The Emporium, a gallery of public community kitchens you can play and copy.
- Co-op and versus, couch and online, plus five- and six-player online co-op.
- Quality-of-life extras for every kitchen: chef skills (hop and kick), throwing aids, faster pick-ups, and lag compensation for online clients.
Access is invite-only during the beta. You sign in with Steam and download a copy of the mod that is personal to your account.
2. Getting started
Four one-time steps: register โ install โ link โ play. The website's ๐ฅก Get the mod panel walks you through the same steps with your personal download inline.
2.1 Register with your invite
- Open your invite link. It shows the Terms of Use. Read them, tick the three boxes (agreement, research consent, and that you are 16+ or have a guardian's consent and own the game) and click Agree & continue to Steam.
- Sign in on Steam's own page. The site never sees your Steam password.
An invite works once and may expire. In the beta Discord server you can get a personal invite with the
/invite command (it arrives by direct message and is valid for 7 days). Already registered? Just click
Sign in with Steam at the top right of the site. If the Terms change, the site asks you to accept the new
version once before you continue.
2.2 Install BepInEx and the mod
- Install BepInEx 5.4.21 (Windows x86) into your Overcooked! 2 folder and start the game once so it sets itself up. (The Get the mod panel links to the right release.)
- On the website, open ๐ฅก Get the mod and click Download OC2Cartographer.dll.
- Create the folder
Overcooked! 2\BepInEx\plugins\OC2Cartographer\and putOC2Cartographer.dllthere.
The file you download is a small loader. The first time the game starts, it downloads the rest of the mod
(about 1 MB) and keeps it in a modules folder next to the DLL. You don't need to do anything else โ later
updates arrive the same way (see Updates).
Your copy is personalised to your account. Please don't share the file or your links.
2.3 Link the game to your account
Linking tells the game who you are, so it can sync your maps and settings and check your licence.
- Start Overcooked! 2 and leave it at the main menu.
- On the website, click Link game and then Send to game. The status line shows game detected, then โ linked โ the game is syncing your maps. Your browser may ask to allow access to a "local network device" โ that is the game on your own computer; allow it.
Game not running, or the browser can't reach it? Click Download cartographer.token (or Copy instead)
and put the file in Overcooked! 2\BepInEx\plugins\OC2Cartographer\, next to OC2Cartographer.dll, then
start the game. You only need to link once per computer, and every computer you link shares the same login.
The token is tied to your Steam account; keep it private. If you lose a computer or share the file by mistake,
use Unlink all games in your account (8.6).
2.4 First launch
On the first start after installing (and after each update) the mod syncs: it fetches the ingredient and recipe catalogs, the list of kitchens you can see, and any art they use. While there is real work to do, a banner at the bottom left shows Updating content โ assets a/b, maps c/d, then Content updated. A kitchen's own map file downloads the first time you pick it, so the first start of a new kitchen can take a moment.
2.5 Updates
The mod updates itself. When a new version is published it downloads in the background and a banner tells you when it applies โ usually as soon as you are back at the main menu, sometimes after a restart. Everyone in an online game must run the same version, so if a friend's game says your versions differ, restart once to pick up the update.
3. Playing custom kitchens
3.1 Open the browser
Click the Provisions & Co. card on the DLC / Add-ons carousel, or the Provisions & Co. button on the main menu. Both open the same browser. Keyboard and controller navigation work as in the game's own menus.
3.2 The rows at the top
| Row | What it does |
|---|---|
| Refresh maps (fetch latest) | Re-downloads the list of kitchens and any changed content without restarting. Edits, new maps, tags and favorites made on the website show up right away. Shows Refreshing mapsโฆ while it works. |
| World Tour (bus map of every kitchen) | Starts the World Tour of every published kitchen โ see section 4. |
| Mode: Online โ switch to Offline (restart) | Switches between online and offline mode; takes effect after a restart. Only shown when the game is linked. See section 9. |
| Open Kitchen Editor (in browser) | Offline mode only: opens the editor the mod serves on your own computer. |
3.3 Folders, favorites and tags
The kitchens are grouped into folders that open like an accordion:
- All maps โ every kitchen you can see. Open by default.
- โ Favorites โ the kitchens you have starred (shown once you have at least one).
- One folder per tag โ tags are labels the author gave the kitchen, such as
beach,versusorgrinder.
Click a folder header to open it; opening one closes the previous one, and clicking the open folder closes it. The open folder's header is gold, and each header shows how many kitchens it holds. If no kitchen has a favorite or a tag yet, the browser shows one plain list instead.
Inside an open folder, the last row is World map of "folder name" โ a World Tour of just that folder's kitchens (section 4).
3.4 A kitchen row
Each row shows, from left to right:
- the favorite star โ โ gold means favorite, โ grey means not. Click the star to toggle it. Favorites are personal and float to the top of every list, in the game and on the website.
- the author's name,
- the kitchen's name โ a leading โ marks a kitchen featured by the site,
- โถ the play count, when it has been played.
Click anywhere on the row except the star to start the kitchen. The list is sorted with your favorites first, then featured kitchens, then the most played.
The host starts the game. Online, only the player hosting the lobby can pick a kitchen; everyone else just needs to be in the lobby. Playing alone or on one couch, you are the host.
3.5 What happens when you pick a kitchen
Before the kitchen loads, the mod makes sure it will load correctly for everyone. If something isn't ready, a message explains what and you stay in the menu โ nobody gets stuck on a loading screen. The checks, in order: your licence is valid for this Steam account; the game's content has finished syncing; every connected player runs the mod, on the same version, with matching six-player settings and the same content; the kitchen and its art are downloaded and complete; and every player already has the kitchen. Each message and its fix is listed in Troubleshooting.
Custom kitchens are played as party sessions on a borrowed stock kitchen: they don't use a save slot, unlock anything, or count towards Steam achievements. Official levels are never changed.
3.6 Loading screen
- The loading and score screens show the kitchen's own name, its preview picture (taken from your own first play of it) and a "by author" badge with the author's Steam picture.
- A Loading kitchen panel on the left lists each step with its time: Getting map, Reading map, Loading content, Building kitchen, Setting up recipesโฆ It turns amber with taking longer than expected after 8 seconds, and warns if custom art is missing.
- Online, a players panel at the top shows where each player is in the loading, and marks anyone who is stuck. It disappears once everyone is in the kitchen.
3.7 In the kitchen
- Stars: each kitchen has its own star targets. Kitchens with four targets make the fourth star available to everyone.
- Phases: some kitchens change during the round, like the game's tide and raft levels. A message shows the phase's name (or The kitchen is changing!), counters sink into the floor and new ones rise. Food on a counter that leaves is thrown away, while shared pans, pots and plates reappear on the nearest free counter. New orders come from the new phase's dishes.
- Music: a kitchen can have its own soundtrack. It downloads the first time you play the kitchen; until then โ or if it can't be fetched โ you hear the base kitchen's music.
- Loose kitchens: in some kitchens every crate and counter can be shoved, kicked and knocked around.
- Version stamp: the bottom-left corner shows the mod version, the kitchen's name and date, and Lag compensation ON when that is active for you (section 7).
3.8 Editing the kitchen in the game
You can change a kitchen's layout while you are in it, on your own or together with friends. Press Ctrl+P, then E. The round pauses for everyone, the mouse pointer appears, and a panel on the right lists what you can do. Every change appears in the kitchen straight away, and when you are done the round simply carries on. Editing works in a custom kitchen, and everyone in the session needs the same mod version.
- Select and move: click a station to select it (it is outlined), then drag it. It snaps to the kitchen's grid. The arrow keys move the selection one cell at a time. A cell holds one station, so you can't drop a station onto another one (a pot, a pan or plates can still go on a counter).
- Rotate (R) turns the selection a quarter turn (Shift+R turns it back). Delete (Del) removes it. Copy (Ctrl+D) places a copy one cell over.
- Add station (A) opens a searchable list of the game's stations, crates and counters. The new station is built on the spot and works right away.
- Undo (Ctrl+Z) undoes your own last change.
- Done โ keep playing (Enter or Esc) ends your editing. The round resumes once nobody is editing.
- Save to my maps (Ctrl+S) stores the edited kitchen in your account. If the kitchen is yours, it is updated and keeps its name, visibility and tags. If it belongs to someone else, a new private copy named "name (edited)" is created. Saving needs the game to be online and linked (2.3).
- Send to web editor hands the edited kitchen to the website editor open on this computer: it shows The game sent edits to โฆ with Load into editor, or use Get edits from game there.
- Undo every change (host only) puts the kitchen back exactly as it was loaded.
Editing together. When friends are connected, any player can start editing, and everybody gets the editing panel. You see each other's pointers with their names, and a station someone has selected is outlined in their colour: only they can move it until they let go. The host keeps everyone's kitchen identical. Resume the round for everyone (host) ends editing for all players at once. Your changes stay if the round is restarted, but they are only kept in the map once someone uses Save to my maps; each player saves to their own account.
4. The World Tour and folder world maps
The World Tour strings kitchens together on a bus overworld, like the game's story mode. The map is generated from the game's own world-map pieces, and each stop is labelled like a story level (for example 1-3).
- Start it from the browser: World Tour (bus map of every kitchen) tours every published kitchen; World map of "folder" inside an open folder tours only that folder's kitchens. Each folder gets its own map, which stays the same between visits. Only the host can start a tour.
- Unlocking: the first stop is open. Each next stop opens once you complete the one before it, which means earning at least one star. The road unfolds as you go.
- Order: kitchens you have already completed come first (in the order you completed them), then the rest. Versus kitchens are not part of tours. A tour holds up to 200 stops.
- Stars and scores are those of each kitchen, and they are saved per kitchen: stars you earn in one tour also count in every other tour. Your progress is kept on your computer and on your account, and it only ever improves โ a round played offline or on another computer is never lost.
- Kitchens on a tour are party sessions (no saves or unlocks). Play Again replays the same stop; at the end of a round you return to the map.
- Online, everyone in the lobby rides the same tour, and each stop runs the same checks as the browser.
5. Online play
5.1 Everyone needs the mod
Every connected player must have the mod installed, on the same version, and must download kitchens from the service themselves (nothing is passed over the game connection). If anything doesn't match, the host sees exactly who and why before the game starts. A Mod compatibility panel at the top left lists the players whose version or content differs while the mismatch lasts. If someone has only just joined, wait a moment and try again โ their game may still be announcing the mod.
5.2 Co-op and versus
Each kitchen is built as co-op (one shared kitchen) or versus (two teams, two kitchens, separate scores). The mod picks the right game mode automatically. Versus works on the couch and online; online versus needs Online versus turned on for every player (it is on unless someone has turned it off). With six players, versus splits into three against three.
5.3 Five and six players
Online co-op can go beyond the normal four players. Every game starts as a normal four-player session so you can still join anyone's lobby.
- When four players are in the lobby, the host presses F8 on the player-lobby screen to invite more. The session switches everyone to six-player mode first, then opens the Steam invite.
- The lobby shows the extra chefs, and a small box at the top left lists 6-player session โ n/cap joined.
- When the lobby drops back to four players or fewer for a few seconds, it returns to a normal session automatically (never in the middle of a kitchen).
Every player needs Up to six players on and the same Max online players value. If someone's settings differ, the host is told before anyone joins a kitchen.
5.4 The crew panel and invites
At the main menu and in the lobby, a Crew panel at the top right lists the beta players who are online, with a coloured dot: green = available, blue = in a lobby, orange = in a game.
- Invite next to a name sends them an invite to your game. You need to be hosting or in an online game first. Invites work even between players who aren't Steam friends.
- An invite you receive appears as Crew invite โ "name" invites you to join their game, with Join and Decline. Invites aren't shown while you are in a kitchen and expire after a couple of minutes.
- You can hide from the crew or stop receiving invites in Settings.
Your Steam status shows that you are playing, so friends can also join through Steam. If Discord is running, it shows Playing Provisions & Co. with the kitchen you are in.
5.5 Lag compensation
When you are a client in an online game (not the host), your own actions โ picking up, putting down, throwing, chopping, grabbing from crates, walking โ show on your screen at once instead of after a round trip to the host. The host still decides what really happens and corrects your screen if needed. It is on by default for Provisions & Co. kitchens and can also be enabled for the game's own levels (the host must run the same mod version). It never applies in other mods' levels.
6. Chef skills and throwing aids
These work in every kitchen, including the game's own levels. In an online game they work only when the host also runs the mod; the host checks every skill use, so they can't be abused.
6.1 Hop
Press Q (default) to vault over the counter in front of you and land on the free floor behind it. Items on the counter are not disturbed. It needs a counter right in front of you that is not taller than about waist height, and free, level floor within three metres on the other side. Short cooldown.
6.2 Kick
Press F (default) to shove the chef in front of you away, like being hit by a dash. In a loose kitchen, with no chef in front, it kicks the crate or counter instead. Short cooldown; you can't kick mid-hop.
Both keys can be changed, or bound to controller buttons, in the in-game settings (section 7.1).
6.3 Throwing aids
- Throw range indicator (on by default): while you hold the throw button with something throwable, a see-through lane shows the throw's direction and a bright band shows where it will land, with the distance.
- Throw assist (keyboard only, off by default) gives finer aim than the keyboard's eight directions:
- MovingKeys โ while holding throw, let go of a direction key and press it again quickly; each tap turns the throw a step towards that direction, and repeating it turns back.
- CustomKeys โ while holding throw, the pick-up button turns the aim anticlockwise and the dash button clockwise. Controllers already aim freely, so assist is off for controller chefs.
7. Settings โ every option
Settings live in three places. Most are account settings: they sync to every computer you sign in on. A few belong to this computer only.
7.1 The in-game settings menu (Ctrl+P, then C)
Hold Ctrl, press P, then press C (within three seconds). The same keys or Esc close it. While the menu is open your chef ignores input and the mouse is free. There is a Search box, groups on the left, and each setting shows where it is stored (account or this PC) and when it applies (applies now, applies next level or applies next launch). Reset returns a setting to its default. A setting your account's administrator has fixed shows as pinned by admin and can't be changed.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Solo chops per slice | 1 | When you play a co-op kitchen alone, the game normally makes every chop take five strokes. On Provisions & Co. kitchens this sets the number instead (1 = like multiplayer). Has no effect with two or more players. |
| Pick-up repeat delay (s) | 0.1 | The shortest time between two pick-ups. The game's own value is 0.5 s, which can make pick up โ put down โ pick up feel stuck. Works in every level; applies from the next level. |
| Throw assist | None | Keyboard fine-aim mode: None, MovingKeys or CustomKeys โ see 6.3. |
| Throw assist re-press window (s) | 0.30 | For MovingKeys: how quickly the second press must follow. |
| Throw assist snap step (deg) | 22.5 | How far each assist step turns the aim. |
| Throw range indicator | On | Shows where a throw will land (6.3). |
| Chef skills | On | Turns Hop and Kick on or off (this computer). |
| Hop key (keyboard) / Kick key (keyboard) | Q / F | Click Change and press a key, or Unbind. |
| Hop button (controller) / Kick button (controller) | none | Click Change and press a controller button (for example a bumper). |
| Lag compensation | On | Instant feedback for your own actions as an online client (5.5). |
| Lag compensation in vanilla levels | Off | Also use it in the game's own kitchens (the host needs the same mod version). |
| Item name labels | On | Small floating names over items near your chef, in custom kitchens โ handy for telling look-alike ingredients apart. Applies from the next kitchen. |
| Language | auto | The language of the mod's own menus and messages. auto follows the game's language. Text drawn in the game's own font (the browser rows, the DLC card) always follows the game's language. |
7.2 Settings on the website
On the website, Settings opens Mod settings (synced to your account). Change what you like and click Save & sync. If the game is running and linked, the changes are also applied to it straight away; otherwise the game picks them up on its next start. When the same setting is changed in two places, the most recent change wins. Settings your administrator has fixed are not shown.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Custom levels enabled | Master switch. Off = the game behaves exactly as without the mod. |
| Six-player mode (experimental) | Lets your game take part in five- and six-player sessions (5.3). Usually set for you. |
| Max online players | Lobby size in six-player mode (4โ7). Must match the other players. |
| Online versus | Allows versus kitchens in online games. |
| Floating item labels | Same as Item name labels in the game. |
| Hide donor ghost shadows | Hides the baked shadows of the borrowed base kitchen. Online, the host's choice applies. |
| Solo chops per slice, Pickup delay (seconds) | Same as in the game (7.1). |
| Lag compensation, Lag compensation in vanilla levels | Same as in the game. |
| Throw assist mode / window / step, Throw range indicator | Same as in the game. |
| Default base scene | The stock kitchen borrowed as a base when a kitchen doesn't name one. Leave empty for automatic. |
| Prewarm assets | Loads a kitchen's assets ahead of time: smoother start, more memory. |
| Lean heap after load | Frees unused memory after a kitchen loads. |
| Skip un-bake scenery | Faster loading, but some base-kitchen decoration may stay. Leave off unless asked. Online, the host's choice applies. |
| Auto-sync on startup | Fetch new and changed kitchens when the game starts. Off = use Refresh maps yourself. |
| Report gameplay (popularity) | Lets your plays count towards a kitchen's play count (the โถ number). |
| Crew: appear online & enable invites | Show the crew panel and appear in other players' crew lists. |
| Crew: let others invite me | Allow crew invites to reach you. |
A few settings in this dialog exist for map makers and testing (Phantom test players, Versus test launcher (F6), Versus test scene, Host log relay); leave them at their defaults unless you are testing something.
7.3 Options in the configuration file
A few options for this computer live in Overcooked! 2\BepInEx\config\dev.tango.overcooked.cartographer.cfg
(edit it while the game is closed):
| Section / option | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
[Startup] SkipIntro |
false | Skip the logo screens and press to start when the game launches. |
[Display] KitchenPreviews |
true | Show each kitchen's preview picture on its loading screen. |
[Display] Language |
auto | Same as Language in the in-game menu. |
[Performance] EarlySceneLoad |
true | Start loading the next kitchen while the loading screen's opening animation plays. |
[Online] DiscordPresence |
true | Show what you are playing in Discord. |
[Service] LicenseAutoRenew |
true | Renew your licence automatically before it expires. |
[Service] LinkPort |
8737 | The local port used by Send to game. Change only if another program uses it. |
8. The website: maps, sharing and your account
8.1 The header
Signed in, the top bar shows ๐ฅก Get the mod and Link game on the left, and on the right Publish, My maps, Crew, Emporium, Settings, your ๐ค name, Logout and โ. The Language menu switches the site (and these docs) between English, ็ฎไฝไธญๆ, ็น้ซไธญๆ, ๆฅๆฌ่ช and ํ๊ตญ์ด. Docs opens this documentation.
- ๐ค name โ opens your account (8.6): the display name other players see, your linked games, and account deletion.
- Crew โ everyone who has joined the beta, by display name.
- โ โ the service address. You never need to change it unless you are asked to.
- Logout โ signs this browser out and ends the sign-in on the server. Sign-ins otherwise last a week.
8.2 Publishing a kitchen
Publish saves the kitchen you are editing to your account so it appears in the game.
- Name โ up to 100 characters.
- Visibility โ private (only you) or public (all beta users). Public kitchens appear in the Emporium and in every player's in-game browser.
- publish as a NEW map โ when the kitchen came from one of your published maps, publishing updates that map unless you tick this box. The dialog starts from the map's current visibility. A kitchen opened from someone else's map is always published as your own new copy.
You can have up to 50 published maps, each up to 512 KB.
8.3 My maps โ two lists
There are two My maps buttons:
- My maps in the header lists the published maps you can see โ your own and every public one. Each row has
the favorite star, the visibility, yours or by author, the tags, Open (load it into the editor),
and, on your own maps, Tags and Delete.
- Tags โ up to 8 comma-separated tags (24 characters each). They become folders in the in-game browser for everyone who can see the map.
- Delete removes the map for everyone and from games on their next sync. It can't be undone.
- My maps in the editor's toolbar is your local library in this browser: the kitchens you are working on, saved automatically while you edit (Saved on this computer). You can Open, Rename, Duplicate or Delete them, start a ๏ผ New map, or โจ Generate one from a short description. Local maps stay in this browser only โ publish a kitchen to keep it on your account and play it in the game.
8.4 The Emporium
Emporium lists every public kitchen: your favorites first, then featured kitchens, then the most played. Each row shows the author, tags and play count.
- Open loads the kitchen into the editor to look at or play-test (publishing it then makes your own copy).
- Add to my maps copies it to your account as a private map called name (copy).
8.5 Favorites and tags
- Favorites are personal. Only you see yours; they never change anyone else's lists.
- Tags belong to the map and are set by its owner. Everyone who can see the map sees its tags and gets a folder for them. There is no shared tag list โ each author labels their own kitchens.
8.6 Your account
Your account holds your published maps, scenes and custom content, your settings, and your World Tour progress. Your sign-in and your downloads are tied to your Steam account. Click your ๐ค name in the header to open it:
- Display name โ the name other players see on your kitchens, music and custom content, in the crew list and in the game (up to 24 characters). Leave it empty to use your Steam name.
- Unlink all games โ every game you linked loses its login at once. Use it if you lost a computer or shared your token file; each game then needs Link game again.
- Delete accountโฆ โ shows what will be removed (your maps, scenes, custom content, music, settings,
favorites and game logins), then asks you to type
DELETE. Maps other players copied stay theirs. This cannot be undone. Offline, email/delete-accountto the assistant (see section 9) and confirm with/delete-account CONFIRM.
9. Offline mode and the email assistant
If you can't reach Steam sign-in or the website reliably โ for example on restricted networks โ the mod can run in offline mode, set up entirely by email.
- Send an email with the subject
/register <your SteamID64>to the assistant's address (chief-usher@provisionsco.online). It replies with the Terms and a short code to put in your public Steam profile summary for a moment; then reply/verify. - Reply
/dllto receive your personalOC2Cartographer.dll, and put it inOvercooked! 2\BepInEx\plugins\OC2Cartographer\. On first launch it downloads the rest of the mod; if that download is blocked, reply/moduleand put the three attached files in themodulesfolder next to the DLL. - Put the
Cartographer_offline.datyou receive into theoverlaysfolder next to the DLL.
On first start the mod downloads two shared packs โ the resource pack (catalogs, art and models) and the kitchens pack โ from several mirrors, with a progress box at the bottom of the screen. Custom kitchens unlock once both are present.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/help |
Lists the commands. |
/terms |
Sends the Terms of Use. |
/register <SteamID64>, /verify |
Create your account (see above). |
/token |
Sends a new game login token. |
/dll |
Sends your personal mod file. |
/module |
Sends the mod's module files, for when the first-launch download is blocked. |
/renew |
Renews your offline licence (Cartographer_offline.dat). |
/sync |
Sends a fresh Cartographer_offline.dat, so newly published kitchens appear. |
/bundle |
Sends the kitchens pack, for when it can't be downloaded. |
/publish |
Publishes a kitchen exported from the desktop editor (attach the .pcmap file). |
/delete <id or name> |
Deletes one of your maps (no argument lists them). |
/delete-account, then /delete-account CONFIRM |
Deletes your account and everything it owns. |
/feedback <text> |
Sends feedback to the developer. |
Send commands from a mainstream email provider (the assistant must be able to verify the sender), at most ten a minute. In offline mode the browser's Open Kitchen Editor (in browser) row opens an editor served by the mod on your own computer, and Mode: Offline โ switch to Online (restart) returns to online mode.
10. Troubleshooting
The Provisions & Co. card or button isn't there.
Check that BepInEx 5.4.21 is installed and OC2Cartographer.dll is in
Overcooked! 2\BepInEx\plugins\OC2Cartographer\. Look in BepInEx\LogOutput.log for lines starting with
[Cartographer]. If another mod fills every DLC card, the main-menu button still works.
"Level locked โ No valid license for this Steam account".
The game is signed into a different Steam account than your registered one, or your licence expired. Sign in
on the website with the same Steam account and use Link game again (offline: reply /renew).
"Content still syncing". The catalogs haven't finished downloading, so the kitchen would load with the wrong crates. Check your connection, wait for the banner to finish, or restart the game.
"Waiting for players" / "everyone needs the mod". Someone in the lobby isn't running the mod, or has only just joined. Everyone installs the mod, rejoins the lobby, and you try again after a moment.
"Mod versions don't match" / "update required". Everyone must run the same version. The mod updates itself โ restart the game (online, signed in) to pick up the latest version.
"Six-player config mismatch". Someone's Up to six players or Max online players differs. Everyone sets the same values in Settings, restarts the game and rejoins the lobby.
"Content out of sync" / "content not in sync" / "missing the map or some of its assets". Players have different content. Ask them to click Refresh maps or restart, then try again.
"Couldn't download this map" / "this kitchen's files are incomplete". Check your connection and click Refresh maps, then try again.
"Online versus is off". A player has Online versus turned off. Everyone turns it on in Settings, or you play the kitchen on one couch.
"Missing custom content for this kitchen โ you'll see placeholders".
Your content is older than the kitchen. Restart the game to re-sync (offline: reply /sync). The kitchen
still plays; only the missing art shows as placeholders.

- Your copy of the mod is personal and tied to your Steam account. Please don't share it or your links.
